Questions We Get a Lot
Stainless steel and brass fittings resist corrosion, but standing water in exposed supply lines will freeze and expand. The practical answer is to shut off the dedicated outdoor supply valve and drain the line before the first hard freeze. Freestanding and portable units can be moved to a sheltered space entirely.
Most wall-mount systems connect to a standard garden hose bib or a dedicated cold-supply line — no specialist tools required for a basic cold-water setup. A hot-and-cold system requires tapping into your home's supply lines, which is straightforward rough plumbing work. What level of involvement that is depends on your existing outdoor plumbing access.
Standard residential supply pressure — typically 40 to 80 PSI — is sufficient for every system in this range. If your outdoor bib runs lower than that due to a long supply run or a pressure-reducing valve, flow at the head will be noticeably reduced. Check your outdoor tap pressure before selecting a fixed overhead head versus a handheld configuration.

About Our Outdoor Showers
An outdoor shower solves a specific problem that an indoor bathroom was never designed for: the transition between outside and inside. After a swim, a sauna session, a morning in the garden, or a day on a muddy lawn, you want a rinse point that lives where the mess is. The right system handles that without rusting out, seizing up, or looking provisional. Material choice is the first real decision. Stainless steel and solid brass hold up to UV exposure and standing moisture in ways that chrome-plated zinc does not. Configuration is the second: a wall-mount system needs a surface and a supply line; a freestanding or portable unit trades permanent plumbing for flexibility. Cold-supply-only installs are simple weekend work. Adding hot water means tapping your home's supply lines. The buyer worth designing for is one who wants the system to still work correctly in year three — same pressure, same fittings, no mineral crust, no wobble in the valve. That outcome starts with the spec, not the finish.
